Welcome to Safa Little Stars Daycare!

We are a family home daycare that accepts all ages from 3 months to 5 years old. The current maximum capacity is up to 7 children, to ensure each child gets adequate attention and supervision, in a warm and cozy family setting. We accept applications throughout the year.

Frequently asked questions

What time is Safa Little Stars Daycare open?

Normal opening hours is Monday through Friday each week from 7.30am to 6pm, and this time frame is included in our weekly rates. If regular additional time is needed, there will be a small additional fee. Please contact us to discuss your requirements, if needed. Further, we can provide daycare services outside these hours, including weekends, with pre-approval.

What license does the family daycare have?

Our daycare is Virginia state licensed through the Virginia Department of Education (Office of Child Care Health and Safety - Fairfax). This involves extensive background & health checks, annual fire safety inspections, and other frequent inspections / requirements. Our license number is: 1110850.

Can I visit the daycare before I enroll my child?

Yes, absolutely! However, any tours will need to be pre-scheduled so please contact us to arrange a suitable time.

My child needs medications administered throughout the day; are you MAT certified?

Yes, Afia has completed her 8 hours Medical Administration Training (MAT) and is allowed to administer medications in accordance with this certification. Please reach out if you have any specific questions or other concerns.

Do you offer transportation to and from the daycare?

No, we do not offer transportation services. Your child will need to be dropped off and collected from the daycare each day.

What languages are spoken?

The main language spoken at the daycare is English. However, Afia is also multi-lingual and speaks a total of four languages (English, Urdu, Hindi & Punjabi).

What are your weekly rates for child care services?

Weekly rates depend on the age of your child, whether they are an infant, toddler or older. Please contact us to discuss your specific child care needs further.

Do you offer a discount for more than one child?

Yes, if you enroll siblings at our daycare, we offer an additional discount. Please contact us to discuss further.

Are you part of the Child Care Subsidy Program (CCSP)?

Yes, we accept CCSP for eligible families to pay for child care.

How do I enroll my child into the daycare?

When you have decided to enroll your child at Safa Little Stars Daycare, please contact us to confirm availability, if you have not already visited us. We will provide you with an "Application Form" which will need to be completed and returned with a non-refundable application fee of $25. Once processed, we will confirm your child's space has been reserved from the agreed start date.
